History in the Making
From a crazy idea to reality.
The Tap Truck mobile bar saga continues in North Louisiana.
About Tap Truck River Cities
Meet Tap Truck River Cities, owned and operated by longtime hopheads Lee Wilson and Alex Davey. Settling in West Monroe after beginning their travels elsewhere, the two met while attending Northeast Louisiana University. Although Wilson’s Cardinals and Alex’s Mets were traditional rivals, they bonded over baseball and their passion for trying new beers. Nearly 25 years later, their friendship remains strong. After researching ideas of a craft beer delivery service, Wilson came to find Tap Truck USA. He later pitched the idea to Alex, and they agreed craft beer and classic trucks sounded like a perfect pairing. The two combined are excited to be doing what they love most and will never get tired of seeing people’s reactions to their ’53 Chevy Panel, Alison!
Tap Truck River Cities can frequently be found running events along Louisiana’s I-20 corridor and anywhere else in North Louisiana there is a need for craft beer served in style. Some of their favorite local offerings include Jucee and Milk Stout from Monroe’s Flying Tiger Brewery, Reasonably Corrupt and Commotion from Shreveport’s Great Raft Brewing, Barrel 52 from Bossier City’s Flying Heart Brewing, and Until Further Notice from Utility Brewing Co in Ruston.
After the truck is parked and it’s time to unwind, you can usually find Wilson on the golf course as long as the Saints aren’t playing. Alex, a fan and collector of various realms in pop culture, is always on the hunt to add to his collection.
